Can anyone please let me know of a good, but inexpensive black and white laser printer that is known to work with the WPS54G? I currently have the HP Laserjet 1010 and have had no luck in getting it to work. Tech support wasn't much help and the work arounds I found online didn't help either. At this point I'm looking for another printer or I'll have to return the print server.
My Brother HL-5150D was working flawlessly with the WPS54G until the two month old WPS54G bricked. It was really quick too, about equalivent to a local printer for most items. The built-in duplexing also worked through the print server. The cost of the printer was actually less than the print server. Definately an excellent combination provided the bricking issue was a on time occurance...
Epson Stylus Photo R220. Epson has drivers for most MS operating systems. I actually print CD´s through this print server.
I've used my print server (wps54g) with both a Canon S630 and an HP882C with excellent results. They seem to work about as fast as if connected to the PC directly. I tried using one of the wps54g's with an HP 1012 and it would not work. I could get it to print but then sometimes it would either lock up or start printing gibberish and never stop till it ran out of paper!
