Would like peoples views on which FW works best with them for lots of connections. I am not really interested in the wireless side of things as that is working fine for me regardless of which version I use.

I found that different versions of the FW sync at different speeds and are less or more stable running ed2k / kad traffic which uses lots of UDP connections.

    I have settled on 1.01.22 using ADSL1 7200kbps down 448kbps up.
I had a failed downgrade flash but was able to use the external application following the recovery instructions listed on this forum. Curiously although Status_DSL.asp reorts the FW version as 1.01.22, ADSLCStatus.htm reports the version as "0.49," so I am half wondering what version I am in fact using!

The only version I have not tried is 1.01.27. I found that all higher versions than 1.01.22 tended to drop the line alot.

But now I am finding I have to reboot the modem after the carrier or my ISP make changes to the connection, which they have done alot recently (UK ADSL Max and Ace Internet), otherwise I get stuck with very low speeds and connection problems between my box and other machines on the internet.

Is heat the problem? has anyone modded the case to make it run cooler - fitting a passive heat sink for example.
