I have a weired issue with my v1.1 wrt54g router.

I have flashed the firmware to dd-wrt2.2prefinal5 and when I try to forward particular ports to some of the systems on my lan, they do not work.

I have forwarded port 21, 3389 and 22, but cannot connect to my network from the internet.

I did an nmap scan of my network and interestingly found only port 443 and 80 open, this doesn't make sense since i never opened these ports.

Also disabling the firewall, makes no difference. And I have flashed the firmware appropriately.

    Any clues.

    1. If you didn't immediately after flashing, hold reset button for 30 sec which will reset router to defaults and then reconfigure.

    2. Have you tried connecting to those two ports (80 & 443) using your browser to see what's listening there? It's possible there's another device between your router and the internet and that's what you're seeing.

I always reset the firmware immediately for about 30s after flashing it.

Also regarding the above ports, I can access the router through port 443 even though i didn't enable ssl in the admin options.

Well the first question that crosses my mind (and I actually meant to bring it up last time but apparently forgot to convert the thought to keystrokes) is why are you using a prefinal version of the firmware?

Did you know that there has been a "final" version of v22 for several months now...?? :eyebrow:

    I'd give dd-wrt.v22-final-r2.zip a try.

    Port forward problem

Hi I am having to same problem, I cant get my ports I forwarded to my server computer to work. I am using WRT-54G v4 flashed with DD-WRT 11/24 and everything else works great just get connection from outside connected to my internal server. I read everything I could find here and on the wiki but get no clue to what I am missing. Any other firmware I use works great by just forwarding the ports I want to the right IP with the server on it. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks!
