I have a WRT54G. I live in a 2 story house. The router is placed on the 2nd floor in the center (in betwen the floor and the roof, the router is flat on a shelf). What is the best way to position the antennas for the maximum range in the house? Thanks! :)

I recommend using netstumbler, find a free channel furthest away from your neighbours then experiment, using the signal/ quality graphs on a laptop.

My laptop with PC card preferes the router aerials out horizontal, builtin wireless enabled laptops seem much less fussy!

What direction do you have? I had herd some people say if both antennas are pointed at 12 o'clock. Other times I hear one should be put at 3 o'clock and one at 9 o'clock. SO I'm not sure what is the best positioning.
