Just passing this along… if you view the thread at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,22752182 you will see that the user's original complaint was that "all of a sudden, Tomato could not obtain a public IP" and all the steps he went through trying to resolve the issue. Then at the end of the thread, he posts his resolution:
I'm posting this because I would also think it logical that if wireless is disabled, then none of the settings in the wireless section should have any effect on the operation of the router. I don't know how you guys define a bug, but this seems like a bug to me. It certainly isn't desirable behavior!

    Can you reproduce it?

Most often, these "bugs" are either a) user error or b) NVRAM variables in a funky state because of carryovers from Linksys, DD-WRT, etc. firmware.

    I've certainly never seen this.

Actually it's pretty easy to reproduce. Click the "Enable Wireless" checkbox. You can no longer change "Wireless mode."

The bug is that in Wireless Client Mode, Tomato doesn't try to get a DHCP address on its WAN. In other modes it sometimes does. The setting of this mode is important, even in non-wireless mode. This is more of a UI issue than a technical issue. It's bitten me, too.
