I scoured google searches, many are asking this question... yet there is no difinitive answer...

Can you VPN tunnel only specific ports? (i dont mean physical ports I mean router ports)

Lets say i want to tunnel only port 80 and 8080 (http traffic), is there some sort of script that could do this?

Just use SSH instead of VPN. SSH allows you to tunnel specific ports. Google "ssh port forwarding".

What you're trying to do is not VPN. VPN is essentially making your remote device behave as if it were directly connected to your LAN.

gfunkdave, this is needed for security.

I am having this problem too.
For example, I have a home network, that is connected to an ISP. I don't want the ISP (or my government) to see what I am browsing. So, I need to VPN Tunnel only connections to port 80 and 443.

But, I also p2p and play games. Since both of these require low latency and high speeds, I want them to go through the ISP unencrypted.

    Again, SSH is your friend.

I have 5 wifi devices in my house. All using the same router.
    What would you suggest?

This is essentially stripping out what makes VPN VPN and drastically reducing security in so doing. Not recommended.

To forward only certain ports through an encrypted tunnel to the router, use SSH. Port forwarding is one of the things it's designed for. The free and excellent Windows SSH client, PuTTY, is all you need.
