I want to buy a NSLU2, but I have a question about what happens in case of a power interuption.

external USB drives don't like a power interuption during e.g. a write operation. Does anyone have experience whit such a situation ?

Can the NSLU2 be connected to a UPS ?

Sure, you can put the NSLU behind a UPS. But there is no way for the UPS to cleanly shutdown the NLSU. If the power failure lasts to long you still have a problem.
Altough the NLSU (with the external hard disk) doesn't consume as much power as a desktop PC does, a typical UPS probably would retain the power for about half an hour or so.

I have an NSLU2 and a hard drive connected to an APC Back-UPS ES 500. The combination pulls less than 30 watts. It works great.

APC's UPS sizing selector says that the combination should give 95 minutes of run time in the event of a power failure.
