I have 3 WRT54Gs and 3 more at another site. I have Satori 4.0 on all, I have read all the forums my little brain can stand and yet the power output just doesn't seem to be there.

Hardware: WRT54G with DLink ANT-1500 (15DB gain OMNI) , 2 more WRT54G as AP mode. If I Crank up the main router to 80 I see almost no gain.... With a 15DB ant it should be phenomenal gain like WAY over the FCC limit? whats the problem? If I try the router by itself same issue, same on all routers... If I put the router settings on 80mw with a 15DB ant I should get 2560mw, out correct?

Yet netstumbler shows varying gain and sometime loss as I change the output.

    Any suggestions?

A dumb question - did you do the antenna selection in the config menu?

Yea tried several different routers and antennas. I seem so get a output power boost for a moment after I change the value but then drops back to a little more, average, or less than default settings.
