    Hi!
I have problem using my ISP internet with my router

To access internet, I need to connect provider's VPN server using PPTP protocol.
It works good using VPN passthrough through linksys from Windows XP computer, but I want to use the router's VPN client to use the router as gateway from all the computers in local network.
The problem is: provider supports only dynamic IPs for VPN which should be recieved on connection. I've tried original firmware, DD-WRT and Wifi-BOX, but all of them support only static IP which I have to enter in PPTP client setup.
Does any firmware support dynamic IP recieving on PPTP VPN connection?

    Thanks

I cant' test this, because I have no PPTP internet connection. But did you already try to just leave the fields for the IP empty or perhaps enter only zeros? I guess they are filled automatically if your ISP is assigning IPs via DHCP.

Yeah, I've tried that! It doesn't allow all zeroes or empty values.. =(

Maybe I coud try setting it up using ssh and modifying scripts myself? Is it possible for any firmware?

    Also Need Dynamic PPTP Support

I'm also in a similiar situation. I just 'tried' to upgrade my current setup (with an older Netgear router) to a new Linksys WRT54G (v3.0). My old router was able to automatically/dynamically negotiate a proper IP address through the PPTP relay. I only had to insert the IP address of the gateway, and the router did the rest.

Is there no way to make the Linksys WRT54G automatically determine the IP address through a PPTP connection? I find it hard to believe that this feature was never implemented through a Linksys firmware or one other third-party firmwares..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
