I'm trying to setup a PPTP VPN tunnel to route voip traffic through, first off would that cover udp as well?

Voip Device -> Linksys (Sveasoft pptp client) -> modem -> internet -> linksys (sveasoft pptp server) -> internet

i've setup pptp server using sveasoft firmware and can connect to it using Windows / access the local lan behind the pptp server linksys box but it doesn't route traffic out to the internet at large. From what I understand I have to setup some iptables rules? Could any of you guide me on how to do that
Also is the entire approach worthless? any other ideas to circumvent voip restrictions?

Also i've set things up with the following ip ranges

    PPTP Server =
Local LAN behind linksys PPTP Server =
    PPTP client IP Pool =

    Far side network = 192.168.2.x
