when i trying to access NSLU2 in my network places, not only shared folder are display, there is Printer and Faxes also. So my question will be, is it NSLU2 act as a print server also, where i can attach a USB printer into the port and share the printer within the network? If yes, I would like to know that how to configure it as a print server using Linksys official firmware. And, how to enable telnet with V2.3R63? modify the default configuration .bin file using Workpad doestn seem to be working. Anyone can help? Thanks in advanced...
Printserver or telnet is not possible with linksys firmware. And please don't try to change the bin with notepad, you'll almost sure brick your nslu2 doing that. What you may want to try is unslung. It's a custom firmware with telnet that allows you to install packages (like cups for printserver). You'll need a bit of linux knowledge to do so. See : http://www.nslu2-linux.org/
