Problem - kernel error in Tomato RAF 1.28 on E3000

I have a new E3000 router that has been working well with the newest version of Tomato RAF 1.28.

I just finished a reboot and I am now getting locked out of the router and am loosing all internet access.

Near the end of the restart process my wallwatcher shows the following kernel messages:
hooking imq after nat on prerouting
hooking imq after nat on postrouting

Then the router locks up. All the connected LAN port lights are flashing quickly. I have to do a hard reset to get it back up and running.

I performed a full NVRAM ERASE and reloaded the last known good copy of the firmware backup settings but I still get the same problem.

Any suggestions as to what's happening here?
