I just got hooked up to high speed internet at my home yesterday. I am using a WRT54GS router. I have a Mac iBook G4 laptop using OS X 10.4.8; my wife uses a Gateway desktop connected via an Ethernet cable. Here is the problem. When I get on the internet with my Mac, (either by ethernet cable or wireless), the connection lasts from 30 seconds to a maximum of about 6 minutes. Then the connection is broken, and not just the connnection to my Mac, but also the cable connection to the Gateway (as long as I don't hook up with the Mac, the connection to the Gateway is fine). When the connnection is broken, the green light under "WLAN" on the router turns off. If I unplug the router and plug it back in, I can get the connection again, but it is broken again within 6 minutes. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could offer to solve this problem. Thank you.
