    Hello,

I have a linksys e1000 v2.0 and It has been not accepting tomato but dd-wrt.

When I attempt to flash from stock it just says firmware update failed (after 30-30-30 resets etc etc)

when i attempt to flash from dd-wrt it says "sucessful reboot now" but then I kindly get greeted with dd-wrt again. yes I do 30-30-30 resets

    Little help please thanks

EDIT:crap im a idiot forgot its tomato by shibby

It may take you to clear browser cache and cookies and refresh.

Flash back to stock, do resets in between, then flash to tomato. Not supposed to flash directly between tomato/dd-wrt directly due to how they set up file system/flash memory, and dd-wrt stores the password different from tomato.

I have a couple of really stupid questions:
Are you using a wired or wireless connection to flash the router?
Which version of Shibby's firmware are you trying to install? The recent RT-N builds may be too big. (E1000v2 is 4MB, isn't it?)

Marcel likely pointed out the issue, too big. I think 107 was the last version I could fit Shibby's Mini builds onto a 4MB flash router.

and flash file was 3.8 mb

The maximum image size for 4MB routers is 3866624 bytes or 3776KB for Broadcom chipsets. It's a different max for Atheros which is irrelevant for Tomato.

Check the actual bytes, when Shibby's site lists 3.8MB most of them are too big. Use the prev version I mentioned or use a diff mod.

Tried using a older version with 3765 kb and it says "Firmware upgrade failed!'
