Problem with Linksys AG041 ADSL Modem/Router - help!

    Hi,

I recently got a Linksys AG041 ADSL Modem/Router, and have it all set up. Accessing the Internet from behind the firewall hasn't been a problem. However, I am running a web server on my local network and I want to access it from the Internet.

I have set it up with the following:

    Running firmware 1.00.8
Static IP Addresses - DHCP turned off
Port Range Forwarding 80-80, both TCP & UDP, pointing to local IP address of the web server

I'm running Apache on OS X on my web server, pretty much stock standard install.

When I try to access the web server from inside the network, it works fine. Every time, without a hiccup. However (and this is where my problem is), when I try to access it from outside the network, the first time I try to hit a page on my server the browser sits there until it times out. _Then_ if I hit the same page on my server again, it comes through fine. I can from then on repeatedly access the web server. Then, if do it from another machine outside the network (with a different IP address), I have to go through the same process again.

Any idea how to deal with this? I've tried enabling the DMZ for the local IP address of the web server, disabling the firewall, enabling anonymous traffic, pretty much everything I could think of and the symptoms still exist.

    I'm puzzled. :-|

    Cheers,

    - Steve
