My network security wont work. I have set it up several times but every time I do setup the network security and try to save the settings I get totally knocked of the internet and I cant get back online. The only way I have been able to get online is by completely reseting my router and leaving the network unsecured. PLEASE HELP!!!!

You might want to check your xp network card settings for the specific security setting for your router. It probably has a different stored setting, and they probably dont match when you set the new one.

Still nothing. Its weird too because i had the security working before but had to change a setting that resulted in me having to reset the router. I can access the internet but the network security still boots me out every time i set it up. And i still have to reset everything just so i can get online again.

Setup the wireless via a cable first... Once you confirm your security settings have been saved and are what you want (i.e. WPA2-PSK / AES), then go to your wireless NIC settings and delete out your old wifi network and re-add it. Be sure to unplug the ethernet cable too... Otherwise even if the wifi connectes the traffic will still go over the wired connection.
