I am having a new problem with my router and it's Tomato firmware. I have tried everything I know, and have been unable to solve this issue. I hope someone here will have a suggestion that will allow me to continue to use Tomato firmware.

I am getting as the IP address from the cable modem for the IP address and DNS addresses. With STOCK Linksys firmware, I get a good IP of 97.92.x.x and the correct DNS entries from the cable modem. I have tried to solve this problem with TWO different Linksys WRT54G routers, and EACH ONE exibit the exact same problems. I have tried 1.27 and 1.28 on each router with the same results. One router is a v.2 and one is a v.3.

EACH router functions properly with standard Linksys firmware loaded. Once flashed back with Tomato firmware, the problem returns, and the router again becomes non-functional.

I can confirm my cable modem is fully functional because between each test, I pull the power cable, and if I attach the modem directly to my computer, OR to EITHER on of the routers with the STOCK Linksys firmware, each will obtain a proper IP address, as listed above though not the exact same IP, and function normally.

I am currently at a loss as to how to continue to use Tomato Firmware as, anytime I reflash, my IP and DNS returns to for all entries. I have even tried to clone my PC's MAC address with Tomato Firmware loaded, and, after rebooting and power cycling everything, the router still pulls all ZERO's.

    Any help? Thanks in advance.
