    I have a WRT 54gs, specified through the model and of the serial number in the end of this text with last firmware original of the LinkSys. I carried through download of archive dd-WRT [1] .v23.voip.zip.

    For the procedures of exchange of firmware for the dd-WRT, I effected reset of the LinkSys initiating soon later through the graphical interface of firmware in it installed (original of the LinkSys) the process of update for the dd-WRT.

    For the update, I used the archive dd-wrt.v23_voip_wrt54gs.bin and the update process started normally, however after ones 15 or 20 seconds I got the message update failed. the Linksys continued with the original configuration of plant.

    I am carrying through some thing missed in the procedure? I must use some another one firmware on the contrary of dd-wrt.v23_voip_wrt54gs.bin?

    Model -> WRTG54GS v.3
    Serial No -> CGN5xxx

    Even though this information can be easily found, I'll help you out. I take no responsibility for errors or bricking that may occur from this procedure.

    The firmware you are trying to install is for use with tfpt upgrades only, and it sounds like you are doing the upgrade through the web interface. If so, follow the instructions below.

    What you need to do is download dd-wrt.v23_mini_generic.bin and install this first. Any flavor of the dd-wrt.vXX_mini_generic.bin firmwares will work, but this is a required first step for upgrading to dd-wrt.

    After the firmware has updated successfully, wait 2 minutes and then clear the NVRAM and reset to defaults.

    When the reset is finished, you can upgrade to any of the dd-wrt.vXX_generic.bin firmwares. In your case, that would be the dd-wrt.v23_voip_generic.bin.

    Just make sure you don't use any of the firmwares that list your router model in them. Those are for tftp upgrades only.

    Hope this helps.
