Problems removing custom firmware

    I inherited a WRT54G v2.

Problem is the thing has the WLAN turned off and some strange routing set up and some other clues that lead me to believe it has a custom firmware and OS.

I try to log in with the default admin password, but apparently it has been changed. I tried the reset button for 30 seconds, but it does not revert to default settings.

Is there any way to flash the firmware without knowing the password? Any other options other than trashing the thing?
