Problems with firmware 4.20.7 on WRT54G?

I've been using my WRT54G for quite a while. Based on a whim, i decided to update the firmware, seeing as it was still using v1.30.7. I updated it to v4.20.7 and it all appeared fine and all, but it would absolutely not obtain an IP address from SBC. I'm using a Speedstream 5100 for my modem.

At first I thought that it was just a problem with SBC, but after leaving it on overnight, it still has not obtained an IP address from SBC and I know that it's not SBC's problem because I'm using my old router right now.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what is wrong. I'm pretty sure that I got the proper version of the firmware and I know that my settings were previously correct (and as far as I can tell they still are). I don't know if it's a problem with the firmware or I actually loaded the wrong one. I've no idea what else to do.

If somebody can help shed some light, I'd appreciate it much.
    Thanks in advance.
