Inorder to access the web based setup utility for the WRT54G, I have to uninstall my nic card in the device manager and reboot the computer. Once I do this, I can access it as many times as I want until I shut my computer down. Then I have to go through this process again. Same for my laptop that is connected wirelessly. This only happens with Internet Explorer. I'm using IE 6. When using Mozilla Firefox, I don't have this problem. Is there an issue with IE and Linksys? My router has v.3.03.6.

P.S. Have reset and reconfigured the router many times. In fact this is the second router I have tried. No problem connecting to the internet.

do you have a proxy cache assigned in MSIE setup?

Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, Proxy Server?

    if so try disabling it?

Checked both computers. Neither had proxy server enabled. I'll keep on poking around IE. I feel there's a setting somewhere I'm overlooking. Thanks anyway for your suggestion. :!:

For anyone else who encounters this problem, I found out by accident I have to click on "file" in IE and click "work offline" before the utility could be accessed. It may be a quirk of my computer. I don't know, but if it's not, Linksys needs to put this in their instructions. Thanks again to "Toxic" for his effort.
