Problems with VPN on Linksys RVO16

I’m trying to establish a VPN connection from either a static or dynamic IP address, and I can’t seem to get it working properly. I have a Linksys RV016 VPN/Router. I have tried using IPSec and PPTP. IPSec just won’t connect and even when I use PPTP I get an error message: “Error 800: Unable to establish the VPN connection. The VPN server may be unreachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly for this connection.†I enabled the PPTP server on the RV016 and set up user accounts in both the PPTP User Settings and the main VPN Clients screen. I’ve used both Linksys Quick VPN Client and Windows XP VPN connection to try and establish the connection and I’m just confused on why it’s not connecting properly.
    Below is my setup:

    VPN Office
    Linksys RV016
    Static IP 67.67.67.78

    Client
    Dynamic IP
    Linksys QuickVPN

    Alternate Office
    Linksys BEFSR41
    Static IP 66.66.66.70

How do I configure a VPN tunnel to allow a remote user to log in that is using a IP address? Thank you.
