I would like to learn to code scripts for this my router, but I just don't know where to start, is it just plain bash or can be Perl, C or something else??

Currently I program in Java, but I thing is worhless as I got connected to the router by telnet and it seems there is no java packages installed. :(

With certain firmwares your router may be able to support perl, and other scripting languages. But I believe that it will b pure shell scripts unless you specifically install something that allows otherwise.

Most shell scripts you see here are of the "Bourne Shell" variety. I suppose you could compile a version of the firmware with perl, or some other shell, but this may be unnecessary depending on your goals.

Start by googling Bourne Shell and go from there...
