Qn:about my settings

    i recently upgraded to tomato v1.11 from thibor.. but faced quite alot of problems as in the web surfing was really slow to the point of some pages "page cannot be display" after i turned on bt. i didnt faced that on thibor .. so i figured bt settings wouldnt be much wrong .. probably is my tomato settings.

    use L7 to classify MSN Messenger.
    quit using destination port for QOS classifications.

    erm then what should i use if its not destination port ??

    I don't think you even need to specifically include msn since those ports you put in for msn are already included in the bulk traffic ports 1024-65535.

    destination is always internet... try to use L7 or source port, it tends to work better.
    also I would recommend against classifying IRC since it's not really an issue.
    wanted to ask did you cleared nvram after flashing Tomato?

    L7 i read another post saying that L7 using more processing or something ?? i just tried source port it actually speeded up a little..

    yup i did clear nvram after flashing ..

    yes L7 use more processor power but if you don't have a static source port L7 is a good solution of course don't use too much rules because QOS will suffer...

    hmm changed most settings to src port but its pretty much crawling .. even deleted the certain other qos rules..
