anyone had any trouble getting speeds over 10Mb with qos turned on?
I too have had issues with QOS on a 10mbit connection using a WRT54G v2.0 - See http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=12106
The fact I hit the same 6 - 6.5 mbit ceiling with both Sveasoft Alchemy and DD_WRT seems to suggest it could be a hardware limitation of the router.
I ended up having to turn QOS off altogether
qos between lan->wan is generally faster as selecting lan->lan qos
Overcloking the CPU can also help to improve QOS performance.
Not exactly what you mean by that BrainSlayer.. I have tried using qos based on the protocol and ip and mac address. Only thing I couldn't try was port because I can't have just the 1 computer I want to limit on the port. I was guessing that it was hardware and just wanted to check. I have the software on the computer limited so it doesn't kill the internet for the rest of the network and that seems to work.
