QOS Can't Identify Outbound Connections from WRT54

I am having a problem with QOS identifying connections that originate from the WRT54 through SSH. As you know, when SSH is acting as a SOCKS proxy, it takes a request from the client and then makes a connection to the remote server. I cannot get QOS to recognize these connections using the router's MAC address. I tried using the WAN, LAN, and WiFi MAC in QOS and in all cases the packets were prioritized as the default. However, when I set QOS to identify connections from the WAN IP of the router it works as expected.

I want to tell QOS that any outbound connection that originates from the router itself should be a medium priority. There doesn't seem to be a way to identify connections that originate at the router OTHER than using the WAN IP. Since that changes on a regular basis, that makes it an unworkable solution. Shouldn't the WAN MAC work?

This is the rule in question. Even though that MAC is the WAN MAC of the router, all connections initiated by SSH are classified as "Low" (the default).
