    I need help setting up QoS in Tomato. What I would like to do is make it where any computer connected to the network (except mine) can download as fast as possible, but only up to 20 megabytes.

    If the file is greater than 20MB, then it should slow down.

    I have Comcast cable with Powerboost, where the first few seconds of any download or upload are boosted before dropping back to normal speeds.

    Download = 18500 kilobits
    Upload = 2772 kilobits
    Download = 6600 kilobits
    Upload = 1040 kilobits
    I tried creating a class for TCP destination port 80,443 with transfers over 1024KB+ set to low class, but when I tried to download something that was over 1MB, it never slowed down.

    Any help in setting this up as well would be much appreciated.

    Thanks! :)

    QoS impacts uploads, not downloads. There's no simple pragmatic way to do what you're asking with Tomato.

    Well if he works out how much is uploaded for a 20MB download then it would be possible :p

    As azuse says, you would have to know the up/down ratio of that particular file to do it. Probably you'll never get it right. Try 50:1 and see what happens. i.e. 20MB/50 for upload switch point.
