QOS Help - or the Xbox has invaded

Well, I finally gave in and the kid now has an XBox. The impact to my home network will forever be felt...

    Seriously though.

I have a multi-WRT54 environment (4). Main AP, 2 WDS Nodes and a Client Bridge. All running DD-WRT V23 Latest build.
I have 8 total PC's and 2 VoiP adapters on the network normally.

The Xbox comes in via the client bridge (with another PC).

I have the MAC addresses of the 2 VoIP adapters set to premium QOS and set the XBOX MAC to bulk QoS. It sstill seems to effect total BW.

How can I 'throttle' the XBOX down???

Any ideas - including throw it out are acceptable

    Edit:

Actually, the issue is more of the amount of inbound intrusions attempts from addresses the xbox was connecting to.

I was not blaming or experiencing slowdown - just want to prevent issues from happening.

Doe the XBOX advertise its availability by default for on-line gaming? Is there a way to make it 'prvate'??

I am not happy about having this device on my network

unless it is trying to connect to Xbox Live or playing a network game the impact should be null. DD-WRT23SP1 does have Xbox Live listed under QOS and you could try throttling that down or possibly setting the Xbox's mac to low priority.
