Just wondering if I could get a little help with setting up QoS on my network. I've had a read around and tried different things that other people have done and nothing seems to be working. Basically what I'm trying to do is give premium priority to my voip box, express service to my main PC and bulk traffic to my bit torrent machine.

tried to enter each devices mac address all to no avail. also tried putting in netmasks(192.168.1.8/255.255.255.0 = 192.168.1.8/24??)

no joy. Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated.

    thanks in advance.

    thanks in advance.

    I'll give it a try

Here's my $.002 and believe me you're not getting your money's worth :)

You're not going to be able to set priority by port because of that switch. I guess you could try setting priority by MAC address but I haven't tried that yet.

I would reserve an IP for your VIOP device and set QoS by IP. Here's how I set my SPA-1001.

I just got done testing by uploading a 3mb JPG while talking on the phone. Normally it would sound like I was talking into a fan but with QOS enabled I didn't drop a single packet.

BTW, your jpg turned out pretty good :)
