I know the normal setup is to put ports 80 and 443 on High for 0-512KB then 512KB+ would be on Low. For my setup, I did 0-500KB on high, 500-10,000KB on Medium, and then 10,000KB+ to low. The reason for this is that I have Mozy backup daily and there is usually quite a bit of changed data each day. This way, the Mozy connection goes to Low, while other activities that upload less than 10 MB will stay at Medium or High.

I have not seen any setup like this in any of the FAQs so I was wondering if this is fine or if there is a downside to this setup?

Also, why is 512KB used for the normal setup? Why not just 500KB?

    Thank you for the help.

It's fine - I do something similar (also for Mozy).

512 is just a power-of-2, which is most familiar/comfortable to programmers. 500 is just as good (in this case), it just worked out that way.
