I have 2 xbox 360's that I want to be able to play online at the same time with open NAT... ok my main 360 is in my bedroom with my router and computer and its set into my DMZ, and its got a wired connection... my second 360 is in my living room hooked up wireless... now what I want to know is, is it possible to write a firewall script or another type of script that will just open up the ports needed for xbox live to the 2 mac address's of my xbox 360 with out port forwarding, or open up all the ports for the 360's so they are both in like a DMZ... I have just recently tried Tomato and I really like it better then the stock linksys stuff... oh and one more thing... will it hurt my router if I activate the afterburner even though I have a WRT54G v3.0 that doesn't have the speed boost...

UPnP does the trick with Tomato firmware and only opens the ports needed for use. You will also have nat open on both machines. Just be sure to assign static ip's for the consoles. Static dhcp works wonders in Tomato.

ok so the UPnP works better then the stock linksys stuff, because the UPnP never worked before.

For sure. UPnP never worked for me either with any Linksys routers I have owned. Using stock firmware. Tomato is well known for excellent UPnP support that actually works the way it suppose to. I would never go back to stock Linksys firmware any ways. Only if I had to send it in for warranty repair.
