Was wondering if someone could tell me the following.....can tomato strengthen another wifi network's signal even if the main AP (which has DHCP going) isn't a WRT54G/L?

So [random router using wifi] <-----> [my WRT54G running tomato, rebroadcasting signal]

    thanks in anycase!

    WDS requires that
    1) the WDS implementation on the "random router"
    is compatible with Tomato, and
    2) you have access to the "random" router in order to
    configure WDS at all.

I suppose what the OP actually means is the so-called
"repeater mode" which is provided e.g. by DD-WRT v24.
    No, Tomato can't do that.
