First off, the reason I want this firmware is because I heard it's easy to use and it will fix my p2p problems. Is this true? If not, can someone recommend one that is easy to use and fixes my problems. Also, if I install this, will I be able to go back to official Linksys firmware if I want? If so, how would I go about doing that. Thanks for you replies. Any information helps.

Edit: I'm referring to Alchemy v1.0 found here on this site. If there is a better version somewhere else, please notify me of that.

Sorry for not putting them in the post. The problem is that when I am downloading it will download 50-100mb (sometimes only 20) and then my internet dies and I have to reset. I've been told it's because the WRT54G tracks old connections for 5 days. Really, I just want to change it so it only tracks for 15 minutes (that's what others recommended). But there is no way to do this without third party firmware and I just want to make sure I'm not taking a big risk and that I will be able to do it. If you have any other ideas of why p2p isn't working then please inform me. Oh, and to be specific I use the Azureus client for bittorrent.

sometime this is due to the amount of connections from the internet, have you tried limiting the amount of connections to your PC in Azureus?

I have, and it actually made the connection drop off more quickly (God knows why).
