Do I need to purchase the linksys notebook card, wpc54g, to use with the wireless g router, wrt54g? Or can I just use the integrated wirless LAN 802.11g that is in my sony vaio notebook? Thanks.

I would try using the integrated 802.11g mincards in your Sony Vaio notebook. If it is an Integrated Wireless LAN
Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection(802.11b/g), I would try it with the drivers Sony provides and if it has a problem connecting I would go to the Intel website and get the latest generic driver. The Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG has been problematic, but works with latest drivers.
