If I establish a QuickVPN connection does all the data now go through the VPN connection?

That is, will surfing and mail now become totally safe & secure on an open access point?

I know this is the beauty of VPN, I just want to reassure myself using QuickVPN.

    Thanks,
    Craig

  2. This is correct. Once you are connect to a VPN server all you data is encypted between yourself and that server and all data flows through that server.

Well, that part I get. I guess what I am asking is will ALL the traffic automatically be diverted through the VPN connection when using QuickVPN? (ie - pop mail, IM sessions, and surfing).

I just want to be confident that if I was at an open access point that all my internet activity would now be secure.
