Question about WDS and WPA

    Hi, I'm trying dd-wrt 23 (20050930) in a wds link against dd-wrt 22r2.

    Initially, the wds is with 2 WRT54G (v2 and v2.2) and the 2 devices with dd-wrt 22r2 with wpa-psk (tkip+aes).

My surprise is when I change dd-wrt 22r2 in one device (v 2.2) and put 23 (20050930) and they dont link with wpa-psk tkip+aes.

In 22r2 I have configured tkip+aes, and many config revisions of dd-wrt 23, this fw don't link against 22r2 device ... but (desesperate) I try to change tkip+aes option (in 23) and put only AES and the wds link works (at least for now).

    And my question is:
    1) Is there any error in the wireless security page?
    2) Who has the correct configuration setup: 22r2 with TKIP+AES or 23(20050930) with only AES?
    3) Or the 2 versions have any error?

BraimSlayer, perhaps is this the problem that are having many guys using wpa/wpa2 in wds configurations.

Can you say us where is the problem?

i have never tried to connect v22 and v23 devices to each other, the problem is the wds protocoll is propertiery without any standard. since the drivers in v23 are much newer it is possibly that it is incompatible to v22.

I try to connect v22 prefinal4 and V23 Beta WDS without any encription, LAN bridge no wireless clients, it's works but not very well . Something is change in WDS.
Before I use both v22 and work much better.

I'm not running WPA but I've had no problem getting a WDS link between a WRTGSV2 w/dd-wrt22R2 and a WRTGSV4 w/dd-wrt23(100405) so the WDS stuff works fine across driver versions.
