Ok... got my WAG54G :( ... wish I had discovered this forum earlier.

    My settings:
    ANNEX A (based in UK)
    ADSL Connection
    FIRMWARE : 1.02.1

Realised I need to upgrade the firmware after reading several posts in this section.

But got a few question's before upgrading firmware:

Q1: What's the difference between Hard Reset and Restore Factory Defaults?

Q2: Restoring factory defaults... does that set the Firmware back to the version it was shipped with?

Well, anyway, I was one of those user's that called Linksys Support and for a change did get some help....so here's some quick Tips for you (incase you get the same issues)

    TIP1:
The default username/password is "admin/admin". So all pages apart from the ADSL SAVE SETUP configuration recognised this password. Whenever I made changes to the ADSL SETUP page and clicked on "save settings", a username/password dialogue box appeared and refused to accept the default information.
Solution: In router setup, change the default username/password to blank (i.e missing)... this shall sort everything out.

    TIP2:
If Firmware refuses to get loaded up correctly, try switching browswers. Linksys provided me the link for 1.02.1 Firmware, but whilst using IE, just refused to load up. Switched browser to Firefox and worked perfectly.

    Cheers

Reset factory default doesn't restore the firmware
