I want to setup a basic VPN, so a few remote users can connect in to the network remotely - access files, email, etc.

In the VPN configuration page I setup a user and password in the 'VPN Client Access' tab. This seems to work fine.

What would be the purpose of configuring the 'Client to Gateway' tab?

I want to be sure I'm confuring the router the correct way. What am I missing?

One other question - can multiple users connect simultaneously with the same user name and password? Or should I create a seperate user name for every remote user?

The VPN Client Access is for the Linksys Quick VPN client...you'll want the latest version installed on your users PCs, as well as recent firmware.

Client to Gateway is for setting up a raw IPSec client connection...not the easiest to setup.

PPTP VPN is the easy VPN setup, I use this the most on my RV0s out in the field, uses the native Windows VPN client that's built into Windows since the mid-95 days. It simply works..always works.
