I have 2 WRT54GS routers in WDS bridge mode. I have the main router upstairs with 2 wireless clients connecting to it in the same room. I then have the Repeater router downstairs with a total of 3 units Hard wired to the router. I have a ReplayTV, HTPC and a Server. I am transferring some large files from the HTPC to the server and am getting super slow speeds. I am thinking this is because everything needs to go through the main router which is all wireless. How would I set this up so that the 3 wired clients will have full speeds from each other? Do I need to hard code the clients with static ip address? Right now the Main router is doing all the DHCP and I have them set up as Static DHCP. Do I need to change the Default gateway to the repeater router? Any thoughts on this would be great!

I would guess your HTPC and server are the wired clients which are both on the second router (basement). I suggest setting up a vlan to keep the traffic between them. Sounds like your traffice is being passed through the WDS on account of it being the default route.
