    Hello,

    thank you for the advice.

My Quick-VPN Client (V. 1.2.6) and Windows Vista is almost working fine with a WRV200 (Firmware 1.0.29), till the moment of "Veryfying Network..." there it sticks :frown:
And after a while the following message appears:
"The remote gateway is not responding. Do you want to wait?"

When I buildup a PPTP-Connection with Vista to my Win 2003 Domain (Passtrough) behind the WRV200, in this same moment the Quick-VPN Client gets its connection too...?

    What is the Problem?

    Thank you for helping me.

Is your Client behind a NAT Firewall? if so is IPSEC passthrough enabled on the Client Router

    Hello Toxic,

yes my Client is behind a router with a NAT firewall.
IPSEC is not set for passthrough on the Client Router, no port is open from the outside. What can I do to enable that?

    Thank you for helping me.

    Hello Toxic,

I'd open the Client Firewall with the following ports:
    500 UDP (Internet Key Exchange)
    1701 UDP (L2TP-Traffic)
    5500 UDP (IPSEC NAT-T)
    (4500 UDP (IPSEC NAT-T))

But it didn't changed anything, the same problem appeared

What can I do, that it would work fine?

    Best regards

    Mr. Wu

Hello and thank you for responding to my article.

I have also the same problem with Win XP Professional SP2 as client...?
"The remote gateway is not responding. Do you want to wait?"

What would be a solution for this problem?

    Best regards,

    Mr. Wu
