OK, After testing for the last 4 hours I think I have confirmed at least one of the problems those of us trying to use QuickVPN with XP SP2 are having.

When QuickVPN maks a connection it uses port 443 but the RV042 responds back on random ports. I have been able to document the use of ports 1555, 1559, 1621, 1624, 1627, 1630, 1178. The XP firewall does not allow you to open a range of ports so unless you have days to type all the possible ports into the firewall your out of luck, I think.

The second little thing I found is that even if you disable the XP Firewall you can not make a connection until you reboot your machine. Then QuickVPN works. (at least on my machines.)

Now for the help. It would be nice if one of you Linux experts could check the Router code and see if there are a fixed number of ports the Router uses to respond back with or if it is totally random. If there is a fixed pool could you please publish them so I can build a file that can be imported into the registery.
