QuickVPN to stopped working - WRV54G 2.36

    I have a WRV54G setup with QuickVPN and linksys firmware 2.36. Everything was working fine for over a year and suddently we started getting errors when we connect. When I try to connect, I just get the generic message saying the problem is either...

    1. Wrong Password
    2. Not valid IP
    3. Incorrect server address
    4. Need to disable firewall.

    I've tried all of these and verified that everything is correct. Disabling the firewall didn't help either, (it worked before with the firewall enabled anyway).

    Any ideas of what to check? Nothing has been changed on the router. THe desktops haven't changed other than Windows security patches. Is there any way to get better error info for troubleshooting?

    One other thing... I know I'm connecting in some way. If I intentially type in a bad password, I get this error in about one second. With the correct pass it takes about 5 seconds for the error to come back.

    Any ideas?

    I Have the same problem with RV042

    I had a RV042 with 2 tunnels GW-to-GW and, 5 Client-to-GW (QUickVPN)
    Working Fine for months.-
    Firmware - Client 1.028.-
    Suddenly QuickVPN is not working anymore.-
    If I disable the firewall it works.-
    PPTP works.-
    GW-to_GW works.-
    Wget_error.txt says:
    60443... failed: Unknown error.
    Giving up.

    Any Ideas?.-

    psdamiani is https enabled in firewall?

    https is enabled.-
    When QuickVPN connects (firewall disabled) I see in log:
    "Ignoring Vendor ... FRAGMENTATION".-
    I've tried setting down MTU in the client, but didin`t work
    If I go to console (client side) and invoke wget
    the error is (unknown error on headers).-
    And the vpnserver.conf is not created.-

    PS - I was able to resolve my original issue in this thread. It turned out the host and domain fields were blank in the main setup page. I'm not sure how they got blanked out, but setting them back with the original values fixed VPN

    You might want to update your firmware image; 2.36 came out back in 2004. I'd suggest moving up to 2.37.13 or one of the 2.38.x or 2.39.x versions.

    what is the version of your quickvpn client?

    QuickVpn problem

    My version of client is 1.28.-
    Tried 1.40 and the same error.-
    I Think is something in the router.-
    In the authentication process (quickvpn),and vpnserver.conf not created.-

    remove the quickvpn clients in the WRv54G and re-add them. also when you upgrade to 1.0.40 did you remove the older version? uninstalling the quickvpn client sometimes does not remove the linksys vpn client folder. also the security policy "Freeswan" is not removed either.

    I was able to resolve my issue in this thread.
    With this procedure:
    a) Reset router to factory.-
    b) Retype all the originals setting.-
    (using export-import did not Work?????)
