I have two sites both have RV042 routers at the edges. I have a gateway-gateway tunnel setup b/w the two routers (this works fine), users from either site can see the entire network. My problem is w/ QuickVPN.

I have a mobile user who can connect to site1 (RV042 - Rev. and access all of the resources w/o a problem.

However, the same user when connecting to site2 (RV042 - can only ping the LAN address of the RV042. All of the devices within the LAN aren't visible.

I've checked over all settings, but I cannot figure out what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just for reference the client is QuickVPN

    Thank you

Ensure both RV042's are at the same firmware rev. Linksys Techsupport underscores this. We have clients with multiple RV042's gw-gw tunnels permanent with and vpn client connects fine.

But my problem isn't w/ the gateway-gateway connection. It is w/ the client-gateway connection on one of the VPNs. And actually the problem one is the one running firmware What difference does other gateway's firmware version makes?

I figured out my problem. We have two routers at this site, each connected to an independent connection to the internet. However, all of the hosts define my other router as the default gateway. So what I'm thinking was happening is this:

    - my ping packet got routed by the RV042 to the host
    - the host responded to the default gateway (the other router)
    - which routed it to the internet
    - where it probably got lost :)

I modified one of the hosts to have the RV042 as my default gateway .. and voila .. problem solved.

OK that is cool if you can "afford" this setup
    I have 4 different routers - 4 DSL lines
everything is on the same IP range/subnet

when I connect from my notebook over QuickVPN to RV042, I can ping only hosts that use RV042 as gateway

but I can't ping other hosts (that use 3x WRT54G for gateway)

over PPTP VPN, everything works fine, but I guess it is because PPTP VPN client get standalone IP address within network

I am having the same issue. I can connect with QuickVPN. But I cannot ping anything. Any Ideas.

    PPTP works fine.
