Hi Guys Every sins iv updatet my tomato firware, iv been playing with all the features it offers, its simply amazing how many things one can do with it. I have a ASUS RT-N16 with the following firmware running: Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-092 K26 USB AIO Things iv succesfully setup includes, file sharing, VPN, VLAN, DDNS, port forwarding. I do however have some questions: I created Vlan2 and then created the Guest wireless on it. I figured that in order for guests on Vlan2 to access things from Vlan1, such as printers etc, i needed to setup that in Lan Access window. However, clients from Vlan2 could get into my file sharing on Vlan1 without me adding it in Lan Access, how is that possible? Well to be more spesific, the file sharing is a USB connected to my router, which has a sharing something like this, \\192.168.1.1\USB. How can i deny the clients on Vlan2 to access that. I thought they were unable to reach that, but they can reach it without any problem. I dont have any authentication enabled on my sharing so they get right into the USB. Guests are not suppose to reach that USB. Another thing i would like to know is how is it possible to activate Captive Portal only for the Guest Wireless?
I think I heard somewhere that the captive portal only works for your main SSID? So you have to use the main one as guest wireless, and then use the second one for your main WiFi?
Oh seriously, that means hours of reconfigurations. lol. Well, virtual wireless does not even provide Wireless Filter so using virutal wireless as main wont serve the purpose for me. But anyone have answer to my other question?
