rapid power light blinking

    WRT54G ver 6 router installed dd wrt has a little problem with acquiring ip. power light blinks yellow rapidly. checking on the computer i get acquring ip and cable disconected in loop. can someone tell me whats wrong?

    Have you tried turning it on and holding down the reset button at the back
    for 15 seconds? The other possibility is the flash went bad, but try the reset first.

    flash works fine tried it in different networks. works like charm. only this one setup is giving me errors like that. maybe the cable i think or format the pc and see what happens. the cable is made from 2 different pcs of cat5. but before that on the same wire there was a router B wireless network. and still works but then i switch to WRT54G router my problems start. i go back to B router and back to normal.

    Formatting your PC is not going to fix your dead router. Blinking power light usually means its dead.

    router works fine. i get login to it with no problem. but when i hook it up to the network problems starts. it looks like the modem cant give it ip. also tested router on different computer and it works with no problems.

    Power LED is still blinking?

    power led blinking rapidly only on this one network. in windows you see that it gives it ip and they say cable disconect in loop.
