i switched over to tomato so i could use remote WOL. i've been able to RDP remotely before tomato but that required having my home PC on all the time.

here is what i've accomplished so far:
i'm able to SSH to the daemon on tomato (on port 443)
i can remotely wake my PC

here is what i can't do
access tomato admin remotely over ssh
i can't RDP to my home PC remotely over ssh

i have port forwarded local port 1024 to 3389 in putty
i have port forwarding in tomato with all the permutations i can think of

when i get the rdp prompt i've entered hostname:1024, localhost:1024, internalIP:1024 etc. no luck

here is the output from putty if this is any help:

i just got it to work myself.

afaik only port 3389 is needed for remote desktop connection, but when i use local port 3389 (that i can connect to localhost:3389 with the rdp client) it doesnt work with some error that iam already logged in.
i changed the local port to 3399, remote stays ip:3389.
should look in the log file something like
    2008-03-08 23:52:34 Local port 3399 forwarding to

dont forward port ranges, dunno if thats even possible.
