Not sure this is the right place to post this so I apologise now if it isn't!

I was wondering if someone could maybe help me out please?

At the moment I use a WRT54G v1.1 Router with the latest Linksys firmware. Now I live in a flat and the signal strength just isn't enough to reach through 2 concrete walls into the living room.

I was given a D-Link DWL-700AP access point and i'd like to connect this to my WRT54G via an ethernet cable which is running through the walls. This way when the D-Link access point is sitting in the living room my signal would be full.

I'm having trouble though working out how I should setup the access point after connecting it to the Linksys router. Could someone please help me out or at least point me in another direction other than D-Links website?

    Thank you all in advance!

    Thanks for the reply! :)

I know how to connect to both the Router and AP but i'm just not sure what settings i'd use on the AP to extend my network to the front room.

My Linksys router resides in my bedroom, I have a long ethernet cable running through 2 walls into the front room. What I want to do is connect the AP to my router via the ethernet cable so the signal will reach the front room.

Basically I want the AP to extend the signal from my Linksys router using the ethernet cable.
