hello I'm new to the forum and really need some advice.
i recently bought a WRT54GL and flashed it with the free version of bluebox. the router was running fine. i decided to upgrade to the full version and thats when i must of did something wrong...now when i run the scripts to update bluebox i get a error in telnet. root@OpenWrt:/# Connection closed by foreign host. i would like to flash the original firmware back to the router but am having trouble. i'm on a mac and when i put 192.168.108.1/openwrt.html in my browser i get a error saying it can't open the page cause the server stopped responding. i need to find a way to flash with having the firmware on my desktop. my skills with telnet aren't very good so if anyone has detailed instructions on how to do this i would greatly appreciate it.

since the service has stop, have you rebooted the WRT54GL? have you tried a hard reset?

seems you had a problem flashing the firmware. Try a search for tftp. This is a way to send a new firmware when your flashing failed.

    then use this i guess:
    http://www.mactftp.com/

You'll have a very narrow window of opportunity to start the transfer after the router reboots.

tried that link but the site was down so i did some looking around and found MacTFTP Client but i don't really know how it works i've tried sending the WRT54GL firmware to 192.168.1.1 in the line that says address with the program but nothing happens.

If ping-ing the router (192.168.1.1) is unsuccesfull neither the tftp will succed to find the address. So, check if router is responding (is really connected).

SO, the router is *alive* in the network (he's got IP). Tftp is supposed to succed then: if not from Mac, then a Linux or a Windows machine.

well i tried to ping it on my pc and i got 4 sent 4 received but when i use the tftp upgrade firm ware it just doesn't work. i set it to try 10 times and sometimes it looks like its going to start (it says erasing flash) but it says unable to get response from server. is there a way to try from the cmd window?
