    Hi,

the official linksys firmware readme states that it is not possible to revert to older firmware (new wireless driver part). Does this mean that I, if I flash this firmware into the WRT54G, I will loose the ability to flash any of the custom firmwares into the machine? I think not, but better safe than sorry, I guess.

It depends on which model you have. Version 2.2 cannot be flashed back to an older version, because the chipset was changed. The ohter versions can be flashed back, but make certain you flash from a wired connection and setback to the default values, especially if you are using third party firmware.

Dunno if this helps but I have the GS and have gone from linksys to sveasoft to hyperWRT ( all latest versions) then around again and in a different order. Probably 3 or 4 times with each firmware.

    All still works !!
