I had (X120e) the same problem my wife (T510) has, I did update the Realtek drivers and the speed went up but only on mine, the wife's didn't change.

Do you guys know if Realtek has problems with the latest Tomato RT-N drivers?

    Thanks.

    tomato-E4200USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.RT5x-MIPSR2-083V-AIO.bin = avg. 11MB/s

    tomato-E4200USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-083V-AIO.bin = avg. 512KB/s

    tomato-E4200USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.9008MIPSR2-RAF-VLAN-VPN-NOCAT = avg. 512KB/s like every other mod/build with RT-N drivers.

I'd like to fix this problem even if I buy a new card. Is there anyone with this card and had speed problems?

Do you have WMM enabled on your router? Some cards need it to connect at higher speeds. Most notably are the Intel cards, maybe Realtek are the same.

WMM is enabled by default on the RT builds as well and the speed is perfect. I will play with that later today but I don't think that's the problem.

I can't believe Lenovo and HP insert a whitelist on the BIOS of their laptops to allow only a strict number of manufacturers and cards to work with the system.

I had to modify the wife's T510 BIOS to install, even just boot, the Centrino N6300 Mini-PCI WiFi card I just got. All good now with RT-N drivers, also entering 100 on Transmit Power is better than 0. 0 is supposed to be 100 by default on the E4200 but 100 goes faster and wider. Well...as I said, all good now.

    Hello together

    I have the same Problem.
    Router: WNR3500L v2 with tomato-Netgear-3500Lv2-K26USB-1.28.RT-N5x--115-AIO
Devices with Problems: Lenovo W530 & Samsung Galaxy S2

Previously I had tomato-Netgear-3500Lv2-K26USB-1.28.RT-N5x--114-AIO, this update rised up the speed by factor 2.
But this is still only 10% of the possible Interspeed.

@eahm: Can you please tell me he settings you changes??

    Mfg Sporeno

@Sporeno, I bought a new card, read up two posts.

This was long time ago, it's probably fixed now.

    I have a Asus RT-N53 with shibby FW: MIPSR2-115 K26 USB RT-N53
I experience similar problems as in this post.
My workaround for now is, that I use the 802.11g standard only.
    upload_2013-12-19_19-0-56.png

Using Auto, or N Only, I get good speeds with notebooks, but smartphones tend to have only 10% speed.

I changed the setting now to B/G Mixed and it seems to work; nearly full speed of the internet.
    Also my S2 reaches 80-90%

@eahm: I have the newest version now installed...

I am happy, that I could help you.
Let's hope there will be some kind of driver update in the future.
But that is completely up to Broadcom, if they release new open source drivers.

    Hello all together

A new Firmware is out for the Router
According the Change log is a new Wifi-Driver implemented.

I gave it a try, but I am said to say, that I keep having stability problems with shibby's build.
So I stick with victek's build for now.

By the way, I did experience speed improvements with the newer Broadcom driver in shibby's latest build.
